Hikers and climbers also consider the region one of the scene’s hotspots, as the offerings speak for themselves: with approximately 250 sport climbing routes, four via ferratas, numerous alpine classics, and a forest high ropes course in Achenkirch, the Achensee region sets high standards in the world of climbing. Legends like Hermann Buhl have already conquered these walls on first ascents. A bit more leisurely, but still quite athletic, are the Nordic walkers out and about around Lake Achensee. An extensive network of trails, challenging mountain tours for well-trained athletes, as well as leisurely loops for those who just want to enjoy the scenery are all available.

Our highly trained hiking and recreation guides are your guides during the summer. Several times a week, we say, “Let’s go hiking together!” We’ll show you idyllic alpine pastures, breathtaking panoramic views, shady forests, and sunny mountain peaks, and we’ll also invite you to stop for a cozy break at a mountain hut. We take care of the equipment: We provide hiking boots and poles, rain gear, backpacks, and Nordic walking poles free of charge. And of course, there’s also a hiking snack to take along.

When we say “pamper,” we mean “really pamper.” We provide various sports equipment free of charge for the duration of your stay.
