Each of our cozy parlors is one of a kind. These inviting spaces are authentic recreations of centuries-old Tyrolean parlors, each telling its own story. Follow in the footsteps of Andreas Hofer and Emperor Maximilian—all while enjoying modern comforts.
In summer, our airy sun terrace beckons you outdoors with its beautiful natural backdrop. As you dine, the sun sets behind the striking Bärenkopf mountain, promising another wonderful day of your vacation.
Guys, it's time…
Andreas Hofer Stube
…for a hearty snack (Tirolean: a proper meal). But the Tyrolean freedom fighter Andreas Hofer certainly wouldn’t have had anything against our multi-course dinner either. But then, of course, it would have to be in true Tyrolean style, in a cozy farmhouse parlor with authentic historical furnishings.
Good luck!
Knappenstube
The many cozy seating nooks and the rounded vaulted ceiling evoke the workplaces of our Schwaz miners—or at least a luxurious version of them. After all, the silver they painstakingly mined in the Schwaz mine is reflected in our decor.
Just cozy!
Die Speckbacher Stube
As a close friend of Andreas Hofer, Josef Speckbacher fought for Tyrol’s freedom at Bergisel. The altar niche in our bright Speckbacherstube, with its large windows, serves as a reminder of the guardian angel who had his hands full with this daredevil and rascal.
Attention! Holy!
Notburga Stube
Saint Notburga, the people’s saint, is the patron saint of maidservants; in the early 14th century, she dedicated herself to helping the poor and the vulnerable. In our Notburga Room, the beautiful old tiled stove is just as heartwarming as her courageous story.
By the way: On major holidays, the relics of Saint Notburga are displayed at Notburga Church in Eben.
For Imperiale
Archduke Johann Room
The ban on entering Tyrol—imposed on Archduke Johann by his brother Franz I following the failure of the Tyrolean uprising—certainly does not apply in our cozy wooden dining room. The scent of wood and the glow of candlelight are sure to stimulate the imagination—and, of course, the appetite—of many a guest.
Would you like a little more?
Emperor Maximilian I Room
The lavish lifestyle of the Archduke of Austria and Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire is also reflected in our Emperor Maximilian Room. The extravagant chandeliers, gold embellishments, crystal decorations, and fine larch wood would certainly have pleased Emperor Maximilian as well.
Love at Second Sight
Residenz-Stube
Almost as if feeling a little shy, our Residenz-Stube has tucked itself away behind the buffet—and quite unfairly so. With its elegant wood paneling, magnificent tiled stove, and stylish Baroque-inspired decor, it is a true eye-catcher. A Residenz-Stube that uniquely combines tranquility, elegance, and cozy charm.
Prälatenstube
In 1887, Albert Wildauer, the prelate of the Benedictine monastery, christened Lake Achensee’s first steamboat the St. Josef. It is not known whether champagne was served at the christening. That would be a shame, though, because champagne is much more enjoyable in our Prälatenstube, with its view of the Residenzgarten.
