We know exactly how winter hiking in Tyrol becomes a truly heartwarming experience, so let our three winter hiking tips inspire you:

Winter Hiking Tip: Notburgaweg
Join this winter hike at Lake Achensee and follow in the footsteps of St. Notburga. Along the 4.3-kilometer St. Notburga Panorama Trail—rated as easy—you’ll find Stations of the Cross that make this tour a contemplative experience. You should allow about an hour and a half of pure walking time for this hike. This leisurely winter hike at Lake Achensee begins and ends at the valley station of the Rofan Seilbahn.
Winter Hiking Tip: Feilalm
Start at the cross-country skiing center in Pertisau and head to the Feilalm, one of the most beautiful winter hiking routes around Achensee. This moderately difficult hike, with a total length of 13.3 kilometers, winds through snow-covered forests and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Once you reach the top, the cozy Feilalm awaits you with Tyrolean delicacies—perfect for refueling after the hike. Plan on about four hours for the entire winter hike.
Winter Hiking Tip: Rodelhütte
This easy, 3.5-kilometer winter hike along Lake Achensee to the Rodelhütte in Pertisau combines exercise with good company and fun. It starts at the valley station of the Karwendel Bergbahnen, from where you follow the trail to the right toward the Tristenautal valley. After a roughly 45-minute climb, a rustic inn awaits you, serving all kinds of regional delicacies. The return trip is a blast, as from here you can either speed back down on a sled or walk back down to the valley in about 30 minutes.
