All around the alpine Kraftplatz, several toboggan runs at Lake Achensee are just waiting to be conquered by you. The natural toboggan runs at Lake Achensee, including the Maurach toboggan run and the route from the Pertisau Toboggan Hut, are among the most popular destinations for winter sports on runners in Tyrol.

Sledding Tip Sledding Trail Sledding Cabin

The 1.3-kilometer-long toboggan run offers winter fun for everyone. The hike up to the Rodlhütte takes about 30 minutes. Alternatively, the Rodlexpress—a tractor with a trailer that runs hourly from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.—will take you comfortably to the start of the toboggan run. At the top, you’ll find spectacular views, sleds available for rent, and an illuminated track in the evening.

Sledding Tip: Zwölferkopf Sledding Trail in Pertisau

The 4.8-kilometer-long toboggan run at Zwölferkopf starts at the top station of the Karwendel Bergbahnen and winds its way through the forest down into the valley. Offering impressive views of Lake Achensee, it provides a varied route all the way to the bottom station in Pertisau. If you don’t have your own toboggan, there are two toboggan rental shops at the bottom station of the Karwendel Bergbahnen.

Sledding Tip: Achenkirch Sledding Trail

The Achenkirch toboggan run offers 3.5 kilometers of pure tobogganing fun. The leisurely climb is rewarded with a thrilling descent. This run is ideal for anyone looking for a longer and faster tobogganing experience—fun guaranteed!
