Snowshoe Hiking Tip: Zwölferkopf Panoramic Loop Trail
Experience snowshoeing at Lake Achensee with spectacular views on the easy-to-moderate Zwölferkopf panoramic loop trail. After taking the Karwendel Bergbahnen Cable Car up the mountain, simply follow the signs toward Bärenbadalm through the snow-covered forest at your own pace. Allow about an hour and a half for this approximately three-kilometer snowshoe hike at Lake Achensee.
Snowshoe Hiking Tip: Pletzachalm and Gernalm
Starting at the toll booth in Pertisau, this approximately 10-kilometer snowshoe hike along Lake Achensee takes you through the idyllic Gerntal valley, following the signs to the Pletzachalm at 1,040 meters and the Gernalm at 1,172 meters. This easy tour, with a total walking time of about four hours, allows you to pause frequently, let your gaze wander over the magnificent natural scenery, and recharge your batteries with a stop for refreshments.
Snowshoe Hiking Tip: Falzthurnalm–Gramai Alm
This 14.1-kilometer, easy snowshoe hike around Lake Achensee leads from the toll booth in Pertisau through the idyllic Falzthurntal valley to the Falzthurnalm and on to the Gramai Alm. With a total walking time of about five and a half hours, the trail offers stunning views of snow-covered meadows and a majestic backdrop. The section up to the Falzthurnalm is even suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. This makes this snowshoe hike at Lake Achensee a true winter highlight for all generations.
