Mountains and lakes: the perfect pairing for all seasons
Mountains and lakes, forests and meadows, breathtaking mountain peaks and the beauty of the Alpine roses. The Alpenrose hotel is surrounded by some of the most beautiful excursion destinations in Tyrol. We're proud of that. And we want to share these places with our guests too.
That is why we invite you to go on excursions and explore the region, in both summer and winter. Our Leisure guides accompany our guests several times a week to the most beautiful spots around the Alpenrose. And our reception team will gladly advise you on the destinations most worth a visit.
Contemplation while walking
The former 'Bärenbadweg' trail in Pertisau was redesigned some time ago and is now a 'path of contemplation'. Rechristened the 'Dien-Mut-Weg' its many worthwhile views, minor inclines and numerous benches entice people to stop, spend some time and go for a reflective stroll. The trail is quite manageable for children and older people too. Another purpose of this 'path of contemplation' is to remind walkers of Saint Notburga, who is still very much revered in the Lake Achen region. She lived in the 13th century and was a model of courageous action, demanding of her employer that she should have Sundays off. Her sickle miracle – she threw a sickle into the air which did not fall to the ground – no doubt helped her reputation.
Water, the source of all life
Located not far from the Alpenrose, the Dalfazer waterfall will delight eye and ear. With a roar and a rush, its masses of water fall into the valley. Best of all, visitors can contemplate this spectacle up close: the viewing platform with comfortable wellness loungers gives you the opportunity to delight in the unobstructed view of the Dalfazer waterfall and in this oasis of relaxation in the middle of nature. In addition, you can experience the rush of the waterfall even more intensely through the provided ear trumpet. A beautiful forest walking trail from Buchau/Maurach leads to this impressive natural beauty spot in around three-quarters of an hour, after which you can experience the source of all life up close and personal.
