Hiking, climbing, Nordic walking
Mountains and lakes, forests and meadows, breathtaking mountain peaks and the beauty of the Alpine roses. The Alpenrose hotel is surrounded by some of the most beautiful excursion destinations in Tyrol. We're proud of that. And we want to share these places with our guests too.
Thanks to the Karwendel Alpine Park, a nature conservation area with unique flora and fauna is right on our doorstep. And we'll show you the best of the hiking paradise that is near the Alpenrose. During our special hiking weeks as well as during our summer programme of activities. Together with our leisure guides, discover the enigmatic beauty of nature several times a week on our guided hikes.
Climbers too value the region as one of the hotspots in the climbing world, because what's on offer here really does speak for itself: with around 250 sport climbing routes, four via ferrata, numerous Alpine classics and a high ropes course in Achenkirch, the Lake Achen region sets high standards in climbing. Even legends like Hermann Buhl cut their teeth on these local rock faces. A little more leisurely but still sporty in nature is Nordic walking, fans of which can be seen all around Lake Achen. An extensive network of routes, challenging tours in the mountains for the well honed athlete and leisurely paths for the aficionado are all on offer.

Full of power and energy
"I find it difficult to pick out individual places as being especially powerful, because the entire region has such an energy to it. You just have to consciously perceive and absorb these energies", says Andrea, our leisure guide. She accompanies our guests all summer long on beautiful walks where visitors not only discover wonderful little places but also learn a lot from Andrea about nature. One of her favourite walks is the 'Bewusstseinswanderung' (walk of consciousness). In little pauses along the route, walkers are invited to reflect on the ideas of "finding yourself", "taking stock" or being "fully grounded".
